Guest:  Dr. Shelly Wagers – Assistant Professor of Criminology at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Dr. Wagers has over 20 years of experience developing and delivering educational classes, workshops, and seminars in the areas of the prevention of interpersonal violence. The specific focus of her research and experience is on helping people understand the internal motives behind their behaviors, and how these can either enhance or obstruct their interpersonal relationships at home and in their career. Dr. Wagers collaborates with local providers and victim advocates to conduct on-going research concerning the effectiveness of domestic violence programs and has provides trainings to providers in Virginia
