Individual ADVIP members can be found throughout the world and are connected through our website, including our MEMBER DIRECTORY and BLOG PAGES. Most members are not formally affiliated with local chapters.
In addition, local ADVIP chapters have been established, or are in the process of being established, in the locations below. E-mail the contact person for more information.
The purpose of local chapters is to advance evidence-based domestic violence intervention in specific locales. Members meet face-to-face, or through online conferencing such as Skype, to network and exchange information with other local treatment providers; work with victim advocates, law enforcement, social service agencies, government officials and policy-makers in their area. Local ADVIP chapters are required to adhere to principles of evidence-based practice, and local members must also be members of the larger organization. Local chapters are also required to report, from time to time, on their activities through the ADVIP blog pages. Otherwise, these chapters are entirely autonomous and dedicated to the needs of their particular communities.
If you would like to start a local chapter, contact the ADVIP website administrator, John Hamel, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
