Mindful Workbook for Women Facilitator Guide
The Mindful Workbook for Women Facilitator Guide is the clinician’s companion for the Mindful Workbook for Women Participant Workbook. This manual provides facilitators with all the tools essential for running an effective domestic abuse intervention program, from intake documents to chapter overviews and implementation strategies. Section I gives the operational guidelines and teaching aids by chapter to help facilitators utilize the material effectively. Section II is the complete Participant Workbook with correlating page numbers, plus added facilitator notes printed in SignPainter font. The Appendix provides reproducible enrollment forms, intake documents, a clinical interview outline, and an example assessment evaluation.
Mindful Workbook for Women is a trauma-informed psychoeducational treatment program utilizing interventions from cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. Due to the complexity and diversity of the population served, Mindful Workbook for Women incorporates a broad range of tools and modalities rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Can you provide the ADVIP membership with some excerpts from you manual, and maybe the table of contents?

Hello Wendy. Congrats on these two manuals. I just ordered and received both of them, and I’m now going through them and getting a lot of good stuff. One question: You reference many videos through youtube with VERY long URL’s. I’d like to check out the videos you recommend, but it would be a lot easier of you could send me a word doc with all those URL’s–then I can cut and paste into my search, rather than typing in every letter and number. Any way you can provide me with that? My email = dbwexler@gmail.com, thanks!…David

I am so impressed that you Wendy as you moved forward with the Facilitator/Participant manual model after we discussed this several years ago…I still need to transition my curriculum to a Self-Study Model 😉 I recommended your curriculum to “someone” a while back, so I hope they followed up!
Hope we can meet “in person” one day 🙂
Meanwhile…a self-study manual is hopefully in my future…and I will significantly “borrow” from your model-LOL!!
I’ve been working on the Youth curriculum this year–will post once I have the Phase II finished 🙂
take good care…Nada

Thank you for the positive feedback and support, Nada! Yes, I’d love to meet in-person someday. I’m very happy to hear you’re working on the youth curriculum — that is something we desperately need in our area. Looking forward to it!

Haha! Yes, there is a ton of material. Most of the exercises were developed over the years with participant input. It’s amazing what is created by people who are invested in healing and motivated to change their lives. Thank you for the positive feedback!
