Guest: Erika Lawrence – Dr. Lawrence is currently a research professor in the department of psychology at Northwestern University, and is also Director of Translational Science at that university’s Family Institute. After obtaining her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at UCLA, she completed her clinical psychology internship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. Since then, Dr. Lawrence has conducted several research projects on intimate partner violence. She works with high-conflict couples in her clinical practice, and her current focus is on developing evidence-based treatment for IPV offenders, using principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
